MERCEDES-BENZ APPROVED BODYSHOP
Mercedes-Benz is the oldest established car manufacturer in the world. Carl Benz submitted the patent for his motor car to the Berlin Imperial Patent Office in 1886, and this was the beginning of the automobile as we know today.
Over the years, Mercedes-Benz, probably more so than any other car manufacturer in the world, has produced exceptional, high quality, reliable vehicles. Furthermore, it has regularly introduced innovations into the production process which would become standard within the industry in due course.
These innovations include:
1906 – first electric powered car
1921 – first supercharged engine
1931 – first fully independent 4-wheel suspension system
1936 – first diesel powered engine
1959 – first crumple zone car body shell, which is universally used today
1991 – CFC’s (chlorofluorocarbons) removed from climate control and air conditioning systems, as well as the entire manufacturing process
1997 – Smart key introduced, which enables unlocking and starting the car by an electronic code
2006 – Distronic Plus with pre-safe brake, which alerts the driver and starts the braking process to help reduce the speed of any impact…
… and the list goes on.
The current range of Mercedes-Benz vehicles is the broadest they have ever produced.
Starting with the popular A and B-Class hatchbacks, then the C-Class range of saloons, estates, coupes and cabriolets. Then we have the evergreen E-Class models, and the rugged G-Class SUV and coupe models. For the ultimate in luxury and technological refinery, Mercedes-Benz offers the benchmark S-Class limousines and Mercedes-Maybach models. Then there is the fun and sporty SL and SLC, the extensive van range, and finally the stunning AMG GT and AMG models for ultimate car power and performance.
