Since its introduction in 1970, the Range Rover has continued to evolve and has consistently set the benchmark for all luxury SUV vehicles.
Without doubt, the world’s most luxurious SUV, it continues today to set levels of sophistication, design and inherent capabilities that set it apart from its competitors.
Initially, introduced in 3-door form, it was about 11 more years afterwards that we saw a 5-door model. As a result, with these additional two doors, its appeal widened dramatically.
A monocoque single shell body was then introduced, and after some time, we saw the introduction of the massively successful ‘Range Rover Sport’ range – the first performance focused cars in the Range Rover line-up.
A true icon of the motor industry, cherished in town and country alike, the Range Rover has managed to mix Land Rover’s four-wheel-drive system and off road ‘know how’ with unprecedented levels of interior luxury and refinement, and continues to this day to raise the bar for the whole of the SUV sector.
